Our Environment

Children learn in a beautiful wooden classroom, alongside a carefully designed outdoor area. Children have free-flow access to the outdoors throughout the day, which forms a key part of our continuous provision and daily learning experiences.

Our outdoor environment is rich, engaging and unique. It includes a mud kitchen and a dedicated wildlife area complete with a mini pond, offering children valuable opportunities to explore nature, develop curiosity and learn about the world around them in meaningful ways.

We make the most of our stunning local surroundings, including:

• Nature walks through our village
• Visits to Wheatfen Nature Reserve
• Trips to local farms
• Outdoor learning whenever possible

We believe the environment is the “third teacher”. Our calm, neutral learning spaces are filled with authentic, real-world resources that invite curiosity and deep thinking.
